I went to the open house on 8/6/08 to find out if "Island Medical Spa" was just another in and out massage facility or did we have a hidden away treasure. I took my husbond with me to tour the facility in case I needed a quick get away, but instead we were both impressed by the courteous & informant staff and how clean the spa is. Today I had the privilege to attend the spa as the winner of the lucky raffle from the open house. As I got to the spa, Marianne greeted me with an iced exlixer (which is very refreshing) the atmosphere and facility was very impressive,clean, and comfortable it makes you start to relax just by walking in the door and sititng in the comfortable chairs in the lobby(but that is just the start, it gets better)I was greeted by Jessica who took me back to the changing room where they had locked lockers for my personal items and a very nice soft white robe & slippers. I was then shown the steam shower (everyone needs to at least experience this!) the steam and the water flow mixed with the rosemary mint soap was outstanding! When done I then sat in front of the waterfall on a plush couch sipping peach tea elixer while Jessica gave me a foot soak,scrub,and lotion treatment (my feet have never felt softer,love the lotion) after I was done with this portion of pampering I was taken into the massage room,they are very private and carry a nice peaceful tranquil atmosphere (you don't hear any outside noise coming through the walls) Jessica then provided me with the most absolutely wonderful swedish massage that I have ever had ,she was very professional, and knew exactly all of the spots to release the tension in my body. I have been to day spas that could not complete in 4hourswhat Island Medical Spa completed in 1 1/2 hr. The caring,pampering & professional staff members of this wonderful facility have created an environment and experience that every person should try . So to sum up my experience I can say I have found a true treasure of a spa!

Don't let "medical" deceive you. Spa experience through and through. Once you walk in, you will start to relax your mind, body and soul. I've had many massages and tried a facial. Both services were wonderful! Try their delicious citrus tea. Foot soak and steam room are all included in this refreshing experience. You will not be disappointed!
